I wear two hats with different names: Madison Woods when I’m wearing the artist hat, Roxann Riedel in real life and real estate. I'm a rock-smashing paint-making artist & a sales agent for Montgomery Whiteley Realty. Hailing from the wild Ozarks in Kingston, Arkansas where my husband and I work toward a sustainable lifestyle.

Painting of a Farm | Progression Page

This painting of a farm, as seen from the front door of the farm house, was a commission for a real estate agent (my daughter) to give the seller. It was a difficult necessity that led the owner to sell this family farm, so the closing was an emotional ordeal. She thought it would be nice to give him a memento with special meaning.

The location of this scene is private property, so I won’t tell you the actual title of the painting. A friend on FB mentioned that it reminded him of the dust bowl, especially if looking at the progression from backwards, from finished to start. I can see that. Do you?
