I’ve got a cow and a broad-winged hawk on the easel. Coming up, there’s handmade paint orders to fill in February. So, I’ll be painting for the rest of January and then switch over to paint-making in February. I’ll probably still have time to pick up a brush next month, too, though. Or at least I hope so, because I don’t think I’ll be finished with the two in progress before it’s time to get to grinding and mulling.
Taking orders for Ozark Watercolor pigments until Feb 1.
If you want a set, here’s the listing in my shop. I’m only making one batch of watercolors this year and I’ve yet to be able to make enough oil paints to offer any of those in the shop yet. If you order, I can make sure to prepare enough pigment for your you. But if I have extra, I’ll list those in the shop when they’re all finished.
Want to see What’s on the Easel?
The cow is a commission, and it’s the priority project until either it’s finished or I need to let the layers dry. I am working on the hawk when I can’t work on the cow, but I’m enjoying them both.
The THAW has arrived!
All of the water lines in the house are flowing again. We had icy, slippery conditions this morning, but it’s been raining all day and above freezing. The water line at the horses’ trough is still under a block of frozen insulation, though. Hopefully by tomorrow that will open up again, too. We have rain in the forecast all week, but even better, above freezing temperatures, too.
