I am going to start choosing a random painting to offer at deep discount every once in a while. If I can remember to do so, I’ll make this a quarterly event. The first one up is Whisper, my painting of a Brahman cow in bone pigments. Her usual price is $2800, but for this short flash sale she is marked down to $1600.
She’s 22″ x 30″ and will ship free to US addresses, unframed. The sale ends at the end of November. I can get it on the way to you by Dec. 1, so it will arrive in time for Christmas if it’s intended to be a gift for yourself or someone else.
Process Page
If you’d like to see the process of painting Whisper, here’s the page to see it.
Flash Sale Duration
The sale lasts for 3 days, but on the first day I’ll notify only newsletter subscribers who have indicated they want to receive messages about my original art. You can sign up for the newsletter if you’d like to get early notice on the next flash sale. Be sure to check off the special interest group about original artwork. I’ll post it to social media and my website for the remaining two days.
The next sale will be in January, and will be a different painting. After that I may do it monthly, or quarterly. I haven’t decided yet… feel free to make suggestions! This is just an experiment, so I’m open to changes or suggestions as to which should be the next painting 🙂

________________________________
Madison Woods is a self-taught artist who moved to the Ozarks from south Louisiana in 2005. In 2018 she began experimenting with watercolor painting, using her local pigments. She calls them Paleo Paints. In 2023 she began her journey into the world of oil painting with those same pigments. Her paintings of the Ozark-inspired scenes feature exclusively the lightfast pigments foraged from Madison county, Arkansas. Her inspiration is nature – the beauty, and the inherent cycle of life and death, destruction and regeneration. Wild Ozark is also the only licensed ginseng nursery in Arkansas. Here’s the link for more information on the nursery end of life out here.
