Notice: When it’s Bentonville Art Market Weekend for me, I won’t be at the studio that weekend. Once a month during this session of the market, I’ll be heading out in the very wee hours to get set up on Main street two hours down the road. Saturday, August 12 is this month’s date, so come out to see the beautiful Ozark colors and collect some art! My booth is near the end of the row at the corner of SE 2nd and Main.
I’m not sure if I’ll be at the Bentonville markets after this weekend. I reapplied for part-time dates through the next session, but haven’t heard back yet whether it was accepted or not. I’ll let you know when I know! Otherwise, you can always find me at the studio in Alpena on weekends when I’m not in Bentonville or have other events scheduled.

Madison Woods is a self-taught artist who moved to the Ozarks from south Louisiana in 2005. In 2018 she began experimenting with watercolor painting, using her local pigments. She calls them Paleo Paints. In 2023 she began her journey into the world of oil painting with those same pigments. Her paintings of the Ozark-inspired scenes feature exclusively the lightfast pigments foraged from Madison county, Arkansas. Her inspiration is nature – the beauty, and the inherent cycle of life and death, destruction and regeneration. Wild Ozark is also the only licensed ginseng nursery in Arkansas. Here’s the link for more information on the nursery end of life out here.
