Would you like to live in a small town area, where there’s beauty everywhere you look? Madison county, Arkansas offers such an opportunity. Kingston, Arkansas specifically is my favorite small town. That’s why I chose here when I ran for the hills myself almost two decades ago. At the moment, I know of two ready to move in and start a sustainable life, luxury, large acreage properties for sale near Kingston, Arkansas.
‘Luxury’ in this context means the price is over 1M, acreage is over 100, and the land has improvements (house, outbuildings, driveway, access to utilities), live water, and possibly income-generating potential. It does not necessarily mean decadent housing, but it IS decadent, OZARK land 🙂

Small Town Vibe
The population of Kingston is still about 500. The town itself is very small and most folks live on the outskirts, nestled into the hills and hollers of the surrounding Ozark mountains. Our school is K-12, likewise small. Here’s a post with more information about the flavor of our town:
Teeming with Nature
My son lives within the Kingston town itself, right behind our tiny little library. A bobcat decided beneath his house was a great place to give birth to her kittens/cubs. Wildlife lives all around us here.
Many people here keep chickens for eggs and meat. Some are actual chicken or turkey farmers, with the big houses. But my favorite properties are those that lie on the outskirts, large swaths of land and forest teeming with wildlife in places where wildlife should have space to live freely.
Caves, Rivers, Creeks & Springs
For Sale Near Kingston, AR
A property with live water is optimal, and everything else is secondary. But what if you could have it ALL? There is a listing for a property for sale near Kingston where you can have a 6BR 4BA house (3789 sq ft), forest, pastures, a spring, creek, AND a cave. 117 acres, woodlands, equestrian barn, cave, and multiple springs. That’s creme de la creme! It’s currently used as a nightly rental which is doing well in this prime location between Kingston and Ponca. But it’s not limited to that. Live or vacation here yourself, if you prefer.
