Wilson Springs Preserve – A Communion With Nature and Art

The truck is loaded with market tent and supplies. IMMERSE is happening tomorrow (Saturday) morning in Fayetteville, AR. It’s the grand opening celebration for Wilson Springs Preserve, a 121-acre prairie wetland purchased by the Arkansas Land Trust several years ago. So far, the weather forecast looks perfect!

If you want to get a free hands on introduction to Ozark pigments, tomorrow is your chance to come out and grind a rock or two. Enjoy the communion with nature and art. There will be several other artists hiding out among the trees sharing their craft with the public, too.

Wilson Springs Preserve Information

The event is free and open to the public. It’s a good idea to register so it gives the organizers a sense of how many will attend. Here’s the schedule for the for Wilson Springs event: nwalandtrust.org/immerseschedule

Here’s a good article from today at NWA Online, if you’d like to learn a little more about the preserve: https://www.nwaonline.com/news/2019/sep/06/natured-revealed-wilson-springs-preserv/

What am I Bringing to the Event?

I’m bringing everything you need to try your hand at making some Paleo Paint. In addition, I’m bringing paper and brushes so you can make some art with your fresh paint 🙂 I’ll also have one set of 4 x 6″ mounted birds of prey prints and a few note cards. The prints are priced individually, and it’s the only set I have right now. If you know you’re coming and you know you want them, let me know and I’ll hold the whole set for you for the first hour of the event (noon to 1 pm).

And if you’d like to see what the process of making my art looks like: https://www.wildozark.com/nature-art/process/.
